Oliver Fuels’ Proud History of Customer Service
Herbert and Gertrude Oliver purchased White Rose/Canadian Oil fuel company from Jack Mitchell in 1962. They called their new business H.F. Oliver after Herbert Oliver. In 1964, when they changed fuel companies and went to Shell Canada, their office was located on Tottenham Road in Alliston.
Incorporation and Expansion of a Family Company
H.F. Oliver became an incorporated business in 1977 and changed its name to Oliver Fuels Ltd. In 1988, Oliver Fuels Ltd. purchased Solomon Fuels to further expand their successful business. Herbert and Gertrude’s son Tom began working for the company in 1980. Tom finished college and decided that he wanted to carry on the legacy of the family business.
Larger Offices with Showroom Space in Alliston
In 1995, Herbert and Gertrude Oliver retired from the business and were happy to let their son Tom carry on their proud legacy. Tom and his wife Deanne have been operating the business since then. In 1997, Oliver Fuels moved to our present location on Highway 89 East. Our present location has allowed us a larger office space to showcase the oil heat products and equipment we offer.
